Finals Weekend
Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th September 2010, Starts 10am
With some new talent shining through this season, each competition promises to be more fiercely contested than ever before - fantastic news for the future of the Club.
Weather permitting, it should be great fun. And even if you missed out this year, come down to the Club and support your friends and fellow members as they battle it out for silverware.
Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend and on both days food will be served at lunchtime - again, we ask that everyone brings a plate or bowl of something to share with other members. |

Quiz Night
A fantastic evening was had by all at our annual fundraising quiz. Nine teams and almost 40 people warmed up the grey matter and tucked into fish and chips. The eventual winners were The Flounders, a local family which included two young children. Congratulations to them, although the kids were a bit miffed that the prize was some bottles of wine.
Draw Night
Reintroduced for the first time in several years, Draw Night proved to be a huge success with the vast majority of members turning up to find out who awaited them in the first round of the competitions. Colin and Carol provided food and drink and there were also some equally tasty draws. To see the full draw, visit the Competitions page.
All change at Woodford
Over the winter there has been a hive of activity in and around the Club.
The entrance now has a smart set of gates complete with colourful new 'welcome' sign. These were built by Tom Rigby and local carpenter Paul Shrimpton and the the timber was generously donated to the Club by local merchant Main Line Timber - our sincerest thanks go to Edward 'Bamber' Gascoigne.
The conifer tops have been trimmed and a large trellis now stands in front of the water tank which will soon have honeysuckle growing up it. You'll also notice splashes of colour around the green - flowers and gardening services courtesy of Tom Rigby and Ally and Jennifer Wright.
Inside the clubhouse there's been a few changes too. There's a bit more colour around the place but most notable is the kitchen which has been rearranged, renovated and redecorated, complete with new work surfaces, sink and splashback and some particularly fetching cupboard door knobs.
